American trap is another popular event at San Antonio Gun Club. The Club has five American trap ranges for your enjoyment. Our American trap facilities are configured to throw registered singles, handicap, and doubles targets. We invite you to join us for a round and test your skills on some of San Antonio's finest trap fields.
American trap is governed by the Amateur Trapshootng Association (ATA). San Antonio Gun Club hosts several registered matches each year. | Five Stand Sporting Clays |
San Antonio Gun Club offers a state-of-the-art five stand sporting facility that will certainly challenge all shooters. Five stand is similar to sporting clays but is configured to take advantage of a smaller target presentation area. Like sporting clays, a wide variety of targets are thrown but no two five-stand venues are the same. San Antonio Gun Club's five stand sporting range includes five "stands" or stations to shoot from. The range includes at least eight traps that throw different combinations of targets.
Sporting clays is governed by the National Shporting Clays Association (NSCA). San Antonio Gun Club is able to host custom sporting matches. Join us for a round of international trap at one of the best shotgun ranges in the United States. International trap is the most difficult shotgun sport and is one of the Olympic shooting sports. We invite you to experience international shooting and test your skills on an Olympic range. San Antonio Gun Club supports both single and double trap events.
International trap is governed in the United States by USA Shooting and internationally by the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF).
